The Tournament Committee reserves the right to combine age groups to fill any divisions where a limited number of teams exist.
Green Wave Indoor Tournament
Registration and Rules
The Green Wave Indoor Tournament will take place on December 13 thru 14th, 2008.
The location of the tournament will be in the gymnasium at Gallatin High School
Located at 700 Dan P. Herron Drive in Gallatin, TN.
Come into Gallatin on 31-E heading East. Turn right onto Maple St. (Walgreens & CVS are on opposite corners.) Go South on Maple and turn right at the next light to enter the Gallatin High School property.
Application and Registration
1. Applications with payment will be accepted prior to the team entry deadline of
December 4th, 2008.
2- Notification on tournament entry acceptance will be given via telephone.
3. Brackets and game schedules will be available on December 4th, 2008.
4. Team registration will be held at Gallatin High School prior to start of tournament.
Items to be brought to registration/check-in
1. State approved roster.
Teams with multiple rosters are required to submit rosters for each team competing.
2. Player passes
3. Medical releases
4. Travel permits, if from outside the state of Tennessee.
All teams must be checked-in prior to taking the field of play.
If team is not properly checked-in it will forfeit it's first game.
Tournament Scoring/Advancing
Division standings will be determined using a three point system.
Win-Three Points(3)
Tie-One Point(l)
Loss-Zero Points(0)
In the case teams are tied based on the point system above, the following tie breakers will
apply individually (one at a time) in the following order.
1. Head to head competition (May not apply if three or more teams are tied)
2. Most shutouts
3" Fewest goals
4. Goal differential - Max differential is 3 goals (points) per game
The tournament will be giving quality lst and 2nd place individual medals.
Age group designations will follow accepted Tennessee guidelines for date of birth approval.
Player Equipment
1. Footwear must be approved non-marking indoor soccer or gym shoes.
2. Shin guards must be age and size appropriate and worn over the shins at all times.
3. All members of each team (except keeper) shall wear numbered jerseys of the same color and pattern.
4. Keepers shall wear jerseys of a different color from their and opposing team
5. ln the event of a color conflict the designated home will change jerseys
6. The referee shall have the final decision on equipment.
The Game
The game will consist of (1) sixteen minute period. The tournament director will
Have the authority to adjust length of game due to unexpected delays, etc"
A two referee system will be used. The clock will stop and start at the discretion of the referee.
Game Rules
1. It is the desire of The Green Wave Indoor Tournaments to host a tournament of fair and excellent team play and conduct. Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their teams, on and off the field.
2. The decision of the referee is final and no protest will be accepted.
3. All teams must have a coach on the sideline at all times.
4. Player cards must be available at each game although not checked at every game.
The player card of any player or coach who is cautioned or sent off must be presented to the referee at the conclusion of the game.
5. Substitutions are unlimited –
The player substituting must meet at the touchline and receive referee’s approval
before entering the game.
6. All free kicks will direct.
